Understand PixAI source quality
The best archive starting point is usually the available source file. Here, source means the public media URL identified in the PixAI artwork data. It does not mean a guaranteed raw generation file, an unpublished version or the highest-resolution export in the creator's account.

Separate the source, the display and the screenshot
The result preview in this tool is served from the identified source, but the page fits it to the available space. A small-looking preview can therefore correspond to a much larger file. Conversely, enlarging a small source to fill a screen does not create detail.

Judge the image by its pixels and purpose
The word 4K in a title or prompt is not proof of a 4K file. The saved pixel dimensions are the useful measurement. Likewise, a large number of megabytes may reflect the format or compression settings rather than greater image detail.
- Save the source option and open it in an image viewer.
- Read its width and height from the file information. Compare those values with the dimensions shown in the result when available.
- Inspect important features at 100% zoom, where the viewer is not deliberately fitting the whole picture into a smaller window.
- Check the intended output: a phone wallpaper, a small web image and a large print have different dimension needs.
- Keep a source copy before making crops or exports in your own editor.
Public source quality has a boundary
The downloader selects the media variant marked PUBLIC for the eligible artwork. It does not search for unpublished variants, rewrite image URLs to guess larger files or use your PixAI account. If the public source is WebP, choosing source preserves that WebP; choosing PNG creates a conversion of it.
An original download here also keeps any visible watermark or other marks present in the public file. Image conversion does not remove them. If you own the artwork and need another export offered in your PixAI account, use the platform's own available controls and check the resulting file independently.
Keep a useful record of the version you saved
A practical artwork folder can contain the source, a working copy, the public prompt TXT, the available recipe JSON and a short note with the artwork URL. Add the download date yourself if you need to distinguish future versions of a post. The recipe export is not a complete provenance or licensing record.
If the downloaded image seems different from what you expected, return to the exact artwork page and verify the title and creator. A thumbnail copied from a feed can lead to the wrong post, and the creator may change or remove a publication. Preserve the source URL rather than an expiring download-session link.
Questions about this guide
Is WebP always lower quality than PNG?
No. The filename alone does not establish visible quality. Converting the same WebP source to PNG cannot restore missing detail, even if the PNG is larger.
Can I request an upscale here?
No. This downloader offers source files and format conversions, without image enlargement or enhancement.
