PixAI Downloader API
This API resolves eligible public PixAI artwork links for this independent downloader. It is separate from PixAI's image-generation API: it does not create artwork, use a PixAI account or reveal hidden settings.
Resolve a link
POST /api/resolve
Content-Type: application/json
{ "url": "https://pixai.art/artwork/…" }The response contains a temporary session ID, title, source URL, preview route and an array of formats. Sessions expire after ten minutes.
Download a source
GET /api/download?id=SESSION_ID&format=originalSupports a single byte Range request. Use the same domain that created the session. Public GET endpoint: /api/v1/resolve?url=ENCODED_URL, limited to 60 requests per hour per IP.
Prepare a conversion
POST /api/convert
{ "id": "SESSION_ID", "format": "png" }
GET /api/progress/JOB_IDThe progress endpoint emits server-sent events. A done event includes a temporary download URL. A 503 BUSY response means another conversion is active. Files must be under 200 MB and 10 minutes.
Check several links
POST /api/batch
{ "urls": ["PUBLIC_SHARE_URL"] }Up to ten links. Each result contains either a download session or an individual error. There is no API key and fair-use limits apply.
Work from the returned formats
A successful lookup returns a temporary result ID, source page URL, preview path, available title and author information, dimensions, public prompt and recipe fields. The formats list identifies the available source extension and which conversions or text exports are offered.
Use those returned choices instead of assuming every artwork is PNG or has a prompt. The current PixAI recipe contains the available prompt, model name, width and height; it is not a complete generation configuration.
Keep the source URL for retries
Result sessions and temporary conversion downloads expire after ten minutes. Save the original artwork URL as your durable reference and resolve it again when needed. Conversions are separate jobs; the service processes one conversion at a time.
The public resolve endpoint permits 60 lookups per hour per IP. Source files are capped at 200 MB. Batch requests accept up to ten individual links, and combined ZIP media is limited to 200 MB. Handle rate limits, busy responses and per-item errors without rapid retries.
Eligibility applies to API requests too
Only supported individual artwork URLs are accepted. Public access, explicit acceptable safety metadata and text checks apply before image results are returned. A policy refusal is not a signal to try alternate URLs to the same restricted content.
